Cutters for preform
New fiber cutters “tOOchop® Preform” and “Chopcot® Preform” have been designed for mechanised preform/spray-up of glass- or carbon fiber. The new cutter designs are based upon our in house Technologies. Its cutting lengths are 9mm or longer to be set in steps of 9mm, and 10mm with increasing steps of 5mm. The life of wearing parts is very long. See Products/Preform
Mat- / roofliners
Since 2010 tOOchop®M5-9/1 cutters are supplied for application in “roofliner” production lines in the automotive industry. The cutter tOOchop® excels because of its simplicity, reliable performance, its ability to accelerate fast and decelerate fast and its low maintenance. Several production lines are equipped with these cutters meanwhile.
Continuous – and chopped strand mat line system with wagging cutters
Recently a “Wagging cutter system” has been developed, in order to provide a modular cutter system that is able to cut glass and/ or carbon fiber and project the product evenly distributed on a mat- or SMC conveyor. The system has been published the first time at the Composites-Europe show in Essen in 2010. The system allows different cutters to be used, by which special properties in the products can be obtained. The system is also able to make continuous mat, and is used in innovative applications.
High capacity in centrifugal casting
tOOhop®M5-9/12 machines are in use since 2008 in continuous operation for high capacity centrifugal casting of pipes. These cutters are fed by 12 x 2400tex glass and have a capacity of 1200kg glass per hour. Blade length 100mm. The cutters are chosen in this special application because of their simplicity, reliability, low maintenance and small dimensions.
