Wet chopped strand lines
We have delivered wet chop lines to the fiber glass industries.
An example is a triple line with 3 cutters, 3 separators to provide for high product quality. The wet cakes are pulled out by the cutter and introduced into the cutter in an accurate manner to prevent cutting failures. A special inlet device has been developed for that. In order to monitor the performance and to separate any double lengths after cutting special sieves have been designed and delivered. tOOchop® Technology has been used in these lines. Cutting length 10mm. Capacity per line: 500kg per hour. Effective blade length: 100mm.
Though the product is wet and slippery, the cutters need low maintenance: blades are changed out after 90.000kg of glass!
Another example is a double line with two cutters based on Chopcot® Technology. The Chopcot® T6 cutter has been modified to cope with the wet fibre. The cutting length is 6mm and the capacity per cutter is 120kg/h.
